Other Printmaking and Book Arts:
Seeing Red #2, screen print, red plexiglass, edition of three, 2020
Seeing Red #2 is an iteration of Seeing Red (next image), updated in a larger format to allow gallery viewing and with additional text including tweets from the 45th President of the United States.
Seeing Red, laser print with decoder glasses, edition of 50, 2020
Seeing Red consists of layers of red text printed one on top of another, quotes taken from various news sources from anti-maskers, folks who are anti-BLM (Black Lives Matter), against immigration, and National Rifle Association supporters. But, when you look a little deeper, using the red decoder glasses, you can see what lies underneath it all: “America: Where my right to do whatever I want, however I want, whenever I want is more important than your right to live.”
